We’re proud to help our customers with product installation, but just as important as starting off on the right foot with quality work and materials is maintaining the working order of those products. Testing and maintenance of fire curtains are essential to ensure their proper operation and effectiveness in containing and preventing the spread of fires, which is why we offer our U.S. Care program.
According to NFPA 80 standards, fire protective curtain assemblies must undergo drop testing twice after installation to check for proper operation and full closure and to verify the automatic-closing device has been reset correctly. In addition, periodic inspections and testing must be conducted at least annually by a qualified person to confirm that the fire curtain assemblies are operating effectively when required. This testing includes activating the fire protective curtain assembly through all means of activation to ensure its functionality.
